Montepulciano is the second most widely planted grape throughout Italy, behind only Sangiovese, to which it is rumored to be a long lost relative. Notorious for ripening late, but with patience this grape will produce beautifully deep colored wines with high acidity.
Our Italian Montepulciano has an exquisite dark fruit essence of red plum and sour cherry accented by subtle herbal notes and medium oak character. Medium- full-bodied and dry with an alcohol content of 13.5% by volume.
